Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole has joined NSW Nationals Member for Upper Hunter Dave Layzell to announce a $193,458 grant to help stage the annual two-day Hunter Valley Airshow.
The Airshow will be held at Cessnock Airport on the weekend of March 25 and 26 this year.
It will feature hair-raising aerobatics, historical warbirds, and some of the world’s best pilots like Paul Bennet, who has clocked up more than 5,000 display-related flying hours in front of millions of spectators, and who calls regional NSW home.
The NSW Nationals in the state government’s $40 million Regional Events Acceleration Fund has already delivered 100 events right across the state, driving an estimated one million visitors to regional towns and pumping huge tourism dollars into local economies.
This record investment is delivering world-class events and taking regional communities to new heights.
