NSW Nationals Minister for Women Bronnie Taylor has spoken enthusiastically about the important work the CWA undertakes across regional NSW.
Mrs Taylor, who has had a long association with the CWA as a member of the Nimmitabel branch, was among almost 400 people attending the 99th Country Women’s Association state conference this week at the Bega Showground, where important issues were discussed.
“The Conference theme for this year is Strength in Adversity which is very fitting because us country women are a force to be reckoned with,” Mrs Taylor said.
“What you do is endless; your sacrifice, your wisdom, your ability to bring people together in one of the most challenging years that we’ve all faced.”
Mrs Taylor encouraged those present to not be shy in putting their hand up to run for local government at a time when strong leadership is in high demand.
“We fear you in government because we know that almost all of the time you are right,” Mrs Taylor said.
“You’re aligned to your communities and you represent them so well, don’t ever lose that because therein lies your power and your strength.”
