Shadow Minister for Emergency Services

Tanya Thompson has proudly called the Myall Lakes home for almost 30 years, where she has raised her family, built successful small businesses, and dedicated her life to serving the community she loves.
Before being elected to the NSW Parliament in 2023, Tanya worked across the hospitality and real estate industries, helped run an award-winning local business, and was actively involved in numerous community and business organisations. Her passion has always been supporting local people and giving back to the region that has given her so much.
Working alongside the late Stephen Bromhead gave Tanya a firsthand understanding of what it means to be a strong local representative. She saw the difference genuine advocacy can make and developed a deep commitment to ensuring every community across the Myall Lakes has a voice.
As the Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya is a passionate advocate for better healthcare, stronger emergency services, improved roads, quality education and greater opportunities for regional communities. She is committed to standing up for local families, supporting small businesses and ensuring the Myall Lakes continues to be a great place to live, work and raise a family.
