Quality childcare information is now readily available for parents and caregivers with the launch of the NSW Nationals in the state government’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) Finder.
The new website will provide key information to help our young families make informed decisions and understand what to look for when choosing a care provider for their child.
NSW Nationals Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said the online tool will make it easier for our young families to find childcare services.
“It is so important to provide our young families with reliable and confident sources of information that families can trust,” Mr Singh said.
“I want families to know as much about their childcare as possible, it’s a big decision, and I am pleased the government is assisting our families.”
NSW Nationals Minister for Education and Early Childhood Education Sarah Mitchell was excited about the new ECE Finder, which will provide all NSW families with access to quality information on early childhood services.
“Research shows that participation in quality early childhood education has lifelong benefits for children and improves outcomes, not just in education but in health and long-term employment as well,” Ms Mitchell said.
“To help families better understand what the services do, we’ve made the new graphic easier to read. The tool uses the graphic to give at-a-glance information about a service’s quality rating, and gives families the confidence to engage in discussions about quality.”
The ECE Finder includes long day care services, family daycare and NSW funded community preschools.
