The famous NSW Nationals steak sandwich fundraiser will return at this year’s AgQuip agricultural field day near Gunnedah.
Nationals Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson and fellow MPs will be on the tools, picking up the tongs for a good cause.
Mr Anderson said AgQuip is the highlight of the NSW agricultural calendar, and a major boost to the Gunnedah community which benefits from the 100,000 visitors who make their way to the region.
“AgQuip is about so much more than the economic benefit it brings. It’s also an opportunity for our farmers to reconnect, to share ideas, and to stay up to date with the cutting edge of farming technology.
“The event goes hand in hand with the sights and smells of a steak sandwich, with breeders battling it out to be the most popular sandwich of the week.”
Mr Anderson said this year The Nationals are again offering our famous steak sandwiches, cooked by Nationals MPs.
“It’s all for a good cause, helping raise funds for Gunnedah Family Support, who look after those in the community who need our support most.
“The steaks have again been donated by Teys Australia Tamworth, who are proud to continue their involvement in our AgQuip fundraising drive.
“Last year, we raised $2,822 for Gunnedah Family Support, which allowed the organisation to purchase a fridge, washing machine, and dryer for their newly built transition house in Gunnedah.
“I’m looking forward to another successful AgQuip for 2024 and hope to see plenty of locals soaking up the atmosphere.”
The Nationals will be at site J-24 all day every day of AgQuip, with steak sandwiches available from midday.
