NSW Nationals Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey has announced applications are open for the 2021-23 NSW Heritage Grants program, unlocking more than $5 million for heritage projects across NSW.
Ms Pavey said funding was available for projects that identify, conserve and celebrate our rich heritage, and urged individuals and community groups to apply for the funds to undertake projects that deliver these heritage outcomes.
“Local Aboriginal Land Councils, heritage owners and custodians, and community are just some of the groups that benefit from this program,” Ms Pavey said.
“If you need extra funding to prepare heritage management documents, to conserve heritage or want to celebrate and promote heritage, then I’d strongly encourage you to apply.”
The NSW Heritage Grants program has been delivering outstanding heritage outcomes across the state for more than 40 years.
The aim of the program was for communities to better understand and preserve their heritage and to make it more resilient to natural disasters and climate change.
Applications at this competitive funding round are open until 5pm on Monday, February 8, 2021. Applicants must read the program guidelines to ensure they and the proposed project are eligible.
