Seniors in the Myall Lakes can look forward to a range of exciting events and activities at the 2024 NSW Seniors Festival.
Mrs Thompson said the theme of the 2024 Festival is ‘reach beyond’ and she is encouraging seniors to expand their horizons by trying a new activity or meeting new people.
“We have so many wonderful seniors in our community, and this is a way of thanking them for their contribution.
“Connection to community is so important for older people and the activities on offer in Myall Lakes can reduce social isolation in a fun and friendly way.”
“I’m pleased to announce that I will be hosting the Myall Lakes Seniors Concerts in 2024, a longstanding tradition of Stephen Bromhead’s,” said Mrs Thompson.
“There will be two great concerts on the 25th of March at Club Forster and two on the 26th of March at Club Taree.
MidCoast Council has been awarded a 2024 Seniors Festival grant to engage older people in Seniors Week. The council is among 47 organisations across NSW to share in $200,000 in funding to stage activities and events during the 2024 NSW Seniors Festival.
The 2024 NSW Seniors Festival will run from Monday 11 March – Sunday 24 March 2024.
