Seniors who make the Dubbo electorate a great place to live can be recognised for their efforts, with NSW Nationals MP Dugald Saunders urging locals to nominate them for the 2023 NSW Seniors Festival Local Achievement Awards.
Nominations are now open for the awards program which celebrates the work and achievements of seniors in the community.
“Seniors are invaluable to our communities as volunteers, carers and role models – even more so during such a challenging year,” Mr Saunders said.
“If you know a senior who helps make our community diverse, inspiring and active, then I encourage you to nominate them for acknowledgement of their contribution.”
Winners of the Local Achievement Awards will be announced during the NSW Seniors Festival which runs from February 1-12. The awards program is part of an exciting schedule of events across the state.
It is the largest festival for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere and enables older people to engage with each other, their community, services and supports.
To nominate a senior, fill out the nomination form and return it to the Dubbo electorate office by emailing dubbo@parliament.nsw.gov.au or sending it to PO Box 1327 Dubbo NSW 2830.
