Hi, I’m Brendan Moylan your NSW Nationals Member for Northern Tablelands.
I was raised on our family farm outside Gunnedah where my parents worked hard as wheat and cattle farmers. My mum also worked in town as a registered nurse.
In 1999, I moved to Armidale to study Law at UNE where I spent three very enjoyable years living on campus and eventually moving into town before finishing off my studies. To pay for my degree, I pulled beers at the Newie and worked on farms across the New England.
When I finished my study, I moved to Moree to start work as a solicitor, and together with my wife Catherine we’re raising our three young children in Moree.
As a part owner of a legal practice, I have been a passionate advocate for the community – especially when it comes to the punitive native vegetation laws and overly complex water laws in our State.
All my life I have loved serving our communities, through my work, and in my personal time through services such as St Vincent De Paul, the Chamber of Commerce, Pre-school committee, or as a founding member of the Moree Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistant Program.
I am a strong advocate for regional, rural, and remote Australia.
I’ve always lived in the bush, and I will always stand up for the people that live in the bush.
I want to continue Adam Marshall’s legacy delivering projects that will improve lives; whether that be funds for smaller community grants or major infrastructure like dams and hospital upgrades.
I will work hard to be a voice for every community large, small, and remote across our electorate.
