NSW Nationals MP Steph Cooke has thanked the Narrandera community for turning out in force to attend a pop-up walk-in vaccination clinic.
The clinic, held at TAFE NSW Narrandera , focused on vaccinating members of the aboriginal community.
“Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeve and got their first vaccination. The turnout was fantastic for this small but special country town,” Ms Cooke said.
“I particularly recognise the efforts of Colleen Ingram who spent every spare minute of the day on the phone, ensuring that the word got around and as many people as possible had the opportunity to get the jab.
“I acknowledge the collaboration with the college to ensure the facility was set up to ensure a seamless process for our health clinicians and community.”
Ms Cooke also thanked the Murrumbidgee Local Health District and the Narrandera Shire Council for the important role they played in the successful day.
“Together we’ve kicked many goals for the wonderful people of Narrandera over the past near-on 4 years and this was another one we can be proud of.”
