The Broken Hill to Mildura coach trial will return for a special run of pre-Christmas services before resuming on a weekly basis from January 20, 2021.
NSW Nationals Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole welcomed the resumption of the service next year, as well as pre-Christmas services for Broken Hill residents.
“This past year has presented a lot of challenges for the people of the Far West especially with drought and COVID-19,” Mr Toole said.
“Today I am pleased to say we can now bring the Broken Hill to Mildura coach service back from January 20 next year.”
“As our Broken Hill customers have limited public transport options, we are also putting on a short term special service so that people can visit friends and family, attend medical appointments and do their shopping in the lead up to Christmas.”
The special pre-Christmas service will start on Wednesday 9 December and run every Wednesday and Friday until December 23. The service will take a short break before resuming on January 20, 2021 running a daily return service every Wednesday and Friday.
“We remain committed to working with our communities to find connections that make regional NSW a great place to live, work and play,” Mr Toole said.
“These services are run on a trial basis and are driven by community need. I encourage the community to take advantage of the trial coach services to ensure their success.”
