The NSW Nationals want to keep it that way. As part of the NSW Nationals platform for a stronger economic future, we recognise that the money government spends belongs to the people, and as such, will always spend it in the people’s best interest. We believe that giving people better opportunities to gain individual economic freedom will ensure this future.

Our principles for building a better regional New South Wales

Our ‘We Believe’ statement says the NSW Nationals believe in private enterprise and ownership; minimum government interference in industry, commerce, production, and distribution; lower taxes, smaller government and individual economic freedom; our policy and work should reflect that.

At every opportunity, we, as the NSW Nationals, should empower people in regional, rural, and remote communities to keep more of the money they earn.

We should also endeavour to encourage employment growth in the regions and make sure that all people, of all ages and backgrounds, have access to stable employment.
