Federal Nationals Member for Page, Kevin Hogan, has announced an elected Coalition Government would provide $25,000 towards a $30,000 stable upgrade for Grafton Showground.
Grafton Showground is home to Valley & Rivers Showjumping, a major drawcard for our region. Their stables need an urgent upgrade to allow them to keep hosting these events safely and successfully.
“The stables are the backbone of these events. They house the horses, ensure safety for riders and animals, and are essential to keeping things running smoothly on event days,” Mr Hogan said.
“This funding will go towards bringing the stables up to modern safety standards. They attract hundreds of competitors and spectators to their equestrian events, so this is a very welcome investment.
“This is about backing local organisations and helping this club grow into the future.”
This commitment would cover the vast majority of the $30,000 cost, with Valley & Rivers only needing to make a small co-contribution to make the upgrade a reality.
