NSW Nationals Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead has welcomed the funding announcement of $7750 for Diamond Beach RFS as part of the Community Building Partnership Scheme.
This is fantastic news for not only Diamond Beach RFS, but the entire local community who are kept safe from fires thanks to the Diamond Beach unit,” Mr Bromhead said.
This grassroots funding will directly help assist this unit, with future development by fitting out of it training room. The completed building will be used for local and inter-brigade Rural Fire Service training and a local refuge in emergency situations.
“Diamond Beach RFS and all the organisations that were successful in their applications and look forward to seeing how this project will make a real difference.”
Now a decade old, the Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 13,800 community projects since it commenced in 2009.
Applications for the 2020 Program open in May.
