Working for a safer & stronger Upper Hunter
Construction manager and Clarence Town local Dave Layzell is a hardworking father of four with a proven track record of working to create a safer and stronger community.
Passionate about protecting local jobs, listening to people and finding common-sense solutions, Dave knows there’s enormous potential in the Upper Hunter.
“As a father of four, I want to give my kids the opportunity of a great future, and that means a great job. Mining, agriculture and tourism drive this region and coal mining jobs are an essential part of that,” Mr Layzell said.
“I believe in supporting locals – local jobs, local families, and local businesses – and unlocking every opportunity for the Upper Hunter to succeed.”
“I am honoured to be part of the team that will make sure jobs are protected and families are kept safe.”
While keeping COVID away has been a great achievement for the NSW Nationals in government, Dave is also focused on local issues.
Creating more and better-paying local jobs while tackling the cost of living are two of Dave’s big priorities, as is protecting the region’s workers.
“Strong mining and agriculture industries mean people continue to have secure jobs. The Nationals have a history of fighting for local issues, and I intend to continue that legacy.”
The NSW Nationals are building a safer and stronger regional NSW and we are the only Party that can represent the diverse needs of the communities within the Upper Hunter.
