NSW Nationals Upper House MP Sam Farraway has welcomed changes by Coles to ensure that those living in remote communities have access to the vital supplies, by removing purchasing limits for those who live further than 100km from their nearest supermarket.
“Many families have been put under undeserved stress and scrutiny in our more remote areas since purchasing limits were put in place due to COVID-19,” Mr Farraway said.
“Those who live far away from the closest supermarket have had to really change the way they shop and for many this has increased household costs, hitting many whilst they are already down.
“I congratulate Coles on stepping up to the plate and taking the stress out of shopping for our more remote citizens.”
Coles supermarkets have provided four ways for those eligible to place orders that wont be restricted by current purchasing limits:
- Colies Online Priority Service
- Coles Online Remote Delivery
- Click & Collect
- Phone & Collect
Coles Online customers with a registered address 100km or further from their local Coles supermarket will be eligible if their local Coles is an Online-enabled store.
More information on how to sign up for a Coles Online account can be found at www.shop.coles.com.au or by calling your local supermarket and speaking with the Store Manager.
