Federal Nationals Member for Page Kevin Hogan has acknowledged school leaders for the important role they play in school life.
More than 400 students and parents have attended Mr Hogan’s annual school leaders’ event in South Grafton.
“I would like to thank my guest speaker Nyunggai Warren Mundine who gave a very inspirational speech,” Mr Hogan said.
“Warren is a local boy who was born here in Grafton, grew up in Baryulgil, and is from the first Australian nations of Bundjalung and the Gumbaynggirr people.”
“He is now a highly respected Australian businessman, former politician, and advocate for Indigenous affairs. He was also a lead campaigner for the No vote in the 2023 referendum.”
Mr Hogan said it is always inspiring to witness the passion and dedication of our young leaders.
“These students play an important role in the life of their school community and it’s important to recognise them and thank them.”
