Taree Universities Campus has secured $103,420 in funding through the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants Program for the refurbishment its Level 2 community space.
Nationals Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, said Taree Universities Campus is one of three Myall Lakes organisations to receive a share in $355,124 grant funding.
“Taree Universities Campus encourages individuals to develop their careers closer to home. This funding will not only benefit the campus but will provide a space for diverse events that will enrich the community,” Mrs Thompson said.
The $103,420 grant will provide the capacity to renovate the space in their long-term home at 2 Pulteney Street, specifically in the upstairs space previously used as the Council Chambers, a space now prioritised for community use.
Taree Universities Campus CEO Donna Ballard, said “A refresh of new carpet, painting and overall rejuvenating the space will create a whole fresh look for event organisers needing the space for community focused activities, celebrations, conferences and workshops.”
