Geoff Provest MPMember for Tweed

Prior to his election, Geoff was the long-term general manager of the Tweed Heads Bowls Club, the largest bowls club in the southern hemisphere.
As an MP, Geoff is focused on the needs of his local community. He is a strong champion for local issues including the Tweed Hospital, rail services, the Pacific Highway, higher police numbers and education. Some of his initiatives since being elected include a campaign to deliver cancer treatment services to the Tweed, and planning an accommodation support facility for the area’s growing number of young homeless people.
Within his community he has also chaired the Regional Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal, the Regional Clean-Up Australia Day Committee, Tweed Tourism and Tweed Neighbourhood Watch. The Tweed network now has one of the strongest Neighbourhood Watch Networks in the state, exceeding 800 members. He has received numerous awards including the Premier’s Award and Tweed Shire Council Citizen of the Year.
