From the end of January next year the cost of public transport for seniors living in the bush will be greatly reduced with the launch of the $250 Regional Seniors Travel Card.

The preloaded card is valid for 12 months and can be used for pre-booked NSW TrainLink Regional train and coach services, fuel and taxi trips.

NSW Nationals Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall welcomed the launch.

“If you are eligible I strongly encourage you to register for the card through Service NSW in late January,” Mr Marshall said.

To be eligible, you must be an age pensioner with a valid Pensioner Concession Card or hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card issued by either the Department of Human Services or Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
