The NSW Nationals in Government are reducing the tyranny of distance with an additional train service soon to be running between Bathurst and Sydney.

The Bathurst Bullet 2.0 will begin providing services from Monday September 16 at 7.35am and for the first time will includes stops at both Tarana and Rydal.

Bathurst MP Paul Toole will be joined by Oberon Mayor Cr Kathy Sajowitz and John Hollis from the Bathurst Rail Action Group to be amongst the first passengers to board the Bullet 2.0.

Mr Toole said he has been overwhelmed by the response to the introduction of the second Bathurst Bullet service.

“A highlight is the fact that residents of Rydal and Tarana will now have two new options for rail travel to and from Sydney when the two stations become additional stops for the two Bathurst Bullet services,” he said.

To celebrate when the train pulls into Tarana Station at 8.07am, it will be greeted with a band playing and a community breakfast organised to mark the occasion.
