Duration: 1-2 Days a week for 12 weeks
The NSW Nationals are the second-oldest political party in NSW and in 2019 we have celebrated 100 years of representation in the State Parliament. Traditionally the Party represented graziers, farmers and rural voters, but today stands for all regional communities – mums and dads, families, the retired, small business operators, sea changers and tree changers, students and anyone in between.
What the internship involves
We are looking for a young individual who is keen to see the ins and outs of a political party. You will rub shoulders with party officials and Members of Parliament, but you will learn a variety of skills within the 12-week program. We will have you working on rotation within the departments of Communication, Administration, Membership, Technology & Data, Finance and Events. We want our interns to leave with an understanding of the work and detail needed to represent regional communities in Parliament.

We are looking for an individual who is:
- Studying a degree in Political Science, Law, Communication, Commerce or a similar area of study
- Available from 9am to 4:30pm one day a week for 12 weeks
- A strong communicator with good writing skills
