More than $100,000 in funding for Surf Life Saving Clubs is on the way to the Myall Lakes electorate thanks to the Nationals in Government.

Local NSW Nationals MP Stephen Bromhead announced the funding as part of the $3.9 million Surf Club Facility Program, which will go towards 24 projects to improve facilities and equipment at surf lifesaving clubs across NSW.

Two Surf Clubs will benefit in the Myall Lakes electorate this round with:

• Black Head Surf Lifesaving Club receiving $70,391 funding for the Refurbishment of their kitchen and disability toilets at the surf club.

• Cape Hawke Surf Lifesaving Club receiving $30,000 funding for the installation of a sun shelter and safety surfaces at the surf club.

“Surf Life Saving NSW does immensely important work — saving lives and providing opportunities for people of all ages to get fit and healthy,” Mr Bromhead said. “The aim of this program is to increase the availability, standard and quality of surf lifesaving clubs in NSW for the benefit of their members and the wider community. I congratulate Black Head and Cape Hawke Surf Life Saving Clubs on their successful applications and look forward to seeing the benefits of this upgrade.”

“It gives me great pleasure to assist local Surf Clubs as they provide a vital service to our community.”
