NSW Labor Leader Luke Foley has been caught lying to farmers about regional roads.

While he was addressing delegates at the NSW Farmers Conference this week, Foley falsely claimed that the State Government had committed to investing 15 per cent of its roads budget in regional areas.

However, the Nationals in Government have committed more than 50 per cent to regional roads.

Nationals Roads Minister Melinda Pavey said Luke Foley didn’t know the first thing about the regions.

“Instead of helping farmers feed their stock he’s simply feeding them lies,” Mrs Pavey said.

“I know the people gathered there don’t believe Foley’s lies and promises, because they see in their towns the endless work the Nationals in Government are delivering including $130 million to fully seal the Cobb and Silver City highways. I encourage Luke Foley to get out of Sydney and visit the strong vibrant towns across regional NSW and see the work we’re doing and listen to these farmers, instead of just lying to them.”
