Dugald Saunders was chosen as the NSW Nationals Candidate for Dubbo at a
preselection meeting on Saturday. A proud son of the area, Dugald said he looked
forward to delivering great things for the community.
“We’ve had eight fantastic years with Troy Grant and there’s an opportunity for this area
to be one of the powerhouses of regional NSW,” Mr Saunders said. “I’m happy to be
part of that great team of Nationals driving toward the future, with the support of my

“Dugald has already demonstrated a commitment to the community and has a desire to
work hard for the people of the Dubbo electorate,” Mr Burke said. “It’s important we
continue to have a strong voice in Parliament and I’m confident Dugald Saunders will be
another strong Nationals MP that will work hard for his people.”
Deputy Premier and Leader of the NSW Nationals John Barilaro welcomed the Party’s
endorsement of Dugald Saunders, saying he looked forward to working alongside him in
the lead up to the next election and beyond.

that he is the right person, with the right qualities and values, to ensure the people of
