Young people wanted to help make a difference
Young people willing to offer their input on youth affairs are urged to apply for the Youth Advisory Council in 2017. The Council has been put in place to provide insight and discuss important issues affecting Australian youth as well as assist in developing policies and programs by advising the Minister responsible for youth and young people.
Those who have relevant life experience or a keen interest in youth affairs and represent the diversity of young people in NSW particularly in terms of locality and gender, Aboriginality, and cultural and linguistic backgrounds are ideal applicants.
The 12 member council will meet every four to six weeks to discuss and monitor policies and legislation that influence young people.
Applications close at 5:00pm Friday 30 September 2016.
