The NSW Young Nationals were in the thick of debate at Conference this year. With a number of motions ready for debate, Young Nationals across the State rallied in the Hunter Valley to take the floor.

The Young Nats have a proud history of bringing somewhat controversial motions to stir debate and this year did not disappoint! Our motion to legalise the use of medicinal cannabis, fund the fifth and sixth years of the Gonski school funding agreement and commend the Government on its Country of Origin Food Labelling laws were passed and will begin the process of being formally reflected as NSW Nationals' policy. Despite some of our other motions being less successful, we have as always, stimulated debate and discussion around important issues.

From the debate floor to the dance floor, our annual fundraising trivia night was a success, with more than 120 people attending the festivities at Pokolbin Community Hall. Special thanks to quizmaster Ross Cadell and our markers, Jess Price-Purnell, Anna O'Brien and Alana Black, for all their help, along with the dedicated team of Young Nats who helped prepare the hall for Friday night. Thanks to the efforts of MLC Ben Franklin and Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson, we were able to raise more than $700 to help our functions and ventures over the next twelve months.

Congratulations to Young Nat Nathan Quigley on his first conference as State Director. It was a fantastic weekend for all involved!
