What's in store for regional NSW
One of the highest priorities of the NSW Nationals is to help regional towns and cities grow.
Expansion creates opportunity.
It brings with it businesses, families, teachers, doctors and nurses and the diversity that breathes new life into ageing communities.
Growth helps secure to secure vital government funding for increased services, hospitals, police and schools to help meet the demand.
The Nationals are the only Party that really understand Regional NSW.
That is because we live here, it is where we choose to raise our families, start our businesses and serve our communities.
Regional NSW was front and centre in this week’s Federal Budget.
Investment in big infrastructure projects like Inland Rail and Snowy 2.0 will mean more reliable energy and more jobs.
The Federal Government is standing on the shoulders of previous generations of Australian’s from all backgrounds and nationalities, who joined together to build one of our countries most important projects.
Families in the south east have built their lives and communities on the back of the investment in the Snowy Hydro scheme and this will be reignited under Snowy 2.0.
To attract more people to Regional NSW, last week we put out the call for applications for the new Regional Growth – Marketing and Promotion Fund.
This $1 million Regional Growth – Marketing and Promotion Fund will showcase Regional NSW as one of the best places in the world to build a career, buy a house and enjoy a high standard of living.
It is about attracting those people that want better quality of life, a home with a decent backyard and where they can, volunteer and make a contribution to their community.
The combination of employment and investment opportunities, access to quality services, the environment and affordable housing are what people are looking for and it is on their doorstep.
The Regional Growth and Marketing Fund is yet another key strategic investment by this Government to show that Regional NSW is ready and waiting with open arms.
