Support to HIT regional business
Job growth is booming in regional NSW and in response, the NSW Government has revolutionised the way it delivers its support services with the introduction of new High Impact Teams (HIT).
Now, thanks to Regional Development, Skills and Small Business Minister John Barilaro, regional NSW businesses have easy access to assistance packages and a full suite of government support. So starting or growing your business is only a phone call away.
John is excited about the state's current performance in the business sector:
“Regional NSW is going gangbusters right now, generating more than half of all the new jobs in NSW, and more than Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania combined over the last 12 months.”
The High Impact Teams will give regional businesses the tools they need to continue to grow, prosper and create local jobs for local people. Establishing a dedicated business-support telephone number, upgrades to the small business website and repurposing the Small Biz Bus are just some of the regionally focused initiatives which will be developed under the HIT program.
In addition, there will be a better focus on the services currently provided by the Department of Industry’s agencies including the Office of Regional Development, Small Business Operations, Industry Development and Training Services NSW. The teams will be able to provide particular services for those wanting to start a business from scratch.
The High Impact Teams will be there to help anyone starting a business, any company wanting to grow its business or companies which boast a great product or service that wants to create jobs – anywhere in regional NSW.
