State funding assistance for Taree disability centres

Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead has announced the further funding assistance for two centres that provide programs to support young children with disabilities.

Mr Bromhead said the funding comes from the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government’s Intervention Support Program.

“I am delighted to announce that the two centres – Manning and Great Lakes Early Intervention and Snugglepot Day Care Centre - will receive funding for their 2016 programs of $95,924 and $18, 078 respectively,” Mr Bromhead said.

“These funds will assist with projects to improve educational outcomes for children with disability by improving their participation and achievement.

“The projects will help integrate these children into mainstream early childhood centres.

“I was able to see for myself the two Taree centres and to meet some of the remarkable staff who do such a wonderful job in helping the development of these young children.

“I commend the work of these centres in producing more positive outcomes for young children with disabilities.”
