Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen congratulated Mrs. Pam deBoer at the NSW Parliament for her forty years of service to Upper Hunter.

“I have known Pam for twenty five years and to have the opportunity to be with Pam at the NSW Parliamentary Service Award ceremony, is a great honour and privilege.

“Her service to Upper Hunter for forty years is a truly outstanding achievement, it is not an easy job for the staff in an electorate office and to have served with indefatigable loyalty for that period of time, is remarkable,” Mr. Johnsen said.

Mrs. deBoer was the electorate officer for recently retired member George Souris for his twenty seven years and for his predecessor Colin Fisher before him.

Her service to the Upper Hunter electorate and the NSW Parliament was recognised today in a ceremony held at Parliament House, Sydney.

Former Member George Souris said “Pam is an exceptional woman, working in a vast rural Electorate with so much success for such a long period of time, I am of the view that this due recognition is thoroughly deserved. Pam is an exemplar for others in public or elected office”.

“I could not agree more, the loyalty demonstrated by people in the Upper Hunter electorate toward Pam and this office is incredible”, Mr. Johnsen said.
