Making communities liveable for everyone

They say you’re only as old as you feel. The Liveable Communities Grants program is now open and will support a range of ideas for new and improved programs, platforms and ventures so that our ageing population can continue to feel young, comfortable and connecting with their existing communities.

The Liveable Communities Grant program enables elderly people to lead more dynamic, self-reliant and healthy lives. This program aims to provide incentives for people who are working to improve older people’s learning and their contribution to the community.

Grants of up to $100,000 are being awarded to innovative projects that work towards improving elderly health and wellbeing.

The NSW government emphasises the importance of investing in the lives of all people regardless of their ability or age, and has committed to providing $4 million for the Grants program over a four-year period.

Applications close on 30 September.
