Murray Darling Basin Plan
The proposed Murray Basin Plan is short on detail and long on spin.
It is critical that a balance is struck between social, economic and environmental considerations. As it stands, the plan will cost regional communities thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in lost income.
We need to take a stand now if we want to save towns like Deniliquin and Griffith from these savage cuts. The public consultation period ends on the 16th of April 2012.
