Melinda Pavey

Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Health

As Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Health, Melinda Pavey MLC, is determined to see better health service delivery for the people of regional and rural NSW.

Since the election in March, Melinda has travelled to many parts of regional NSW to hear first hand concerns of local clinicians. She is also working to see that the Liberals & Nationals’ record hospital construction program is delivered with new hospitals at Tamworth,  Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Orange, and redevelopments at Lismore, Port Macquarie, Forbes and Parkes on the agenda.

As the mother of two young children (Jack, 12 and Emily, 9) who attend public schools in Coffs Harbour, Melinda is able to keep centred and focussed on the issues that matter to families across the state.

Before entering parliament eight years ago, Melinda owned and operated successful small businesses, worked as a reporter in radio and television, and was an advisor to Deputy Premiers Wal Murray and Ian Armstrong when the Liberals and Nationals were last in government.
