Map of Orange

The Nationals first won the State Electoral District of Orange in 1947, and have held it ever since. Our first member for Orange was Charles Cutler, who is the longest serving Deputy Premier in NSW history. The seat includes the LGAs of Orange and Wellington, as well as the greater parts of the Cabonne and Mid-Western LGAs. The region is primarily agricultural, with a large wine industry. The NSW Department of Primary Industries is based in Orange, having been decentralised by The Nationals in 1995.
