Funding boost for Manilla Preschool

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has announced additional funding of $5000 for the Manilla Community Preschool.

Mr Anderson said this funding will assist the Manilla Preschool to continue to provide children with quality early learning experiences and opportunities.

“Manilla Preschool will be able to use this additional funding to assist with the purchase of acquiring books or resources, renewing play equipment and meeting training and development costs for staff which will ultimately help the students at Manilla Preschool participate in exceptional learning experiences,” Mr Anderson said.

Manilla Community Preschool Director Jenny Bridge said that it was very exciting to hear that the Preschool had received this additional funding.

“This will allow us to buy some wonderful learning resources for the children that we would not have been able to purchase otherwise and we are very appreciative for the funding,” Mrs Bridge said.

Mr Anderson said “Our preschools play a very important role and I value the contribution they make to early childhood learning.

“This is wonderful news and backs up our commitment to preschools and ensures that they receive funding necessary to deliver the very best early education to our children.

“No two preschools are the same. They have different needs and require different levels of support.

“Early education is something that I am very passionate about and I am pleased that the Manilla Community Preschool has received this much needed additional funding,” Mr Anderson said.
