Extension for NSW North Coast Regional Jobs and Investment Package applications

Nationals Member for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker has called on more local businesses to submit an application for the Regional Jobs and Investment Package (RJIP), with the news that the deadline has been extended by two weeks to August 15.

“Now that there is more time to get your application in for the Federal Government’s Regional Jobs and Investment Package, your business has more time to take advantage of the $25 million set aside for the NSW North Coast,” Mr Hartsuyker said.

“The Regional Jobs and Investment Package has the potential to bring tremendous benefit to Cowper in the form of business growth, new jobs and strengthening our business sector.

“If your business has been looking for an opportunity to build scale and capability to be competitive in new or growing markets, the Regional Jobs and Investment Package is your chance to invest in your business.

“For local business applications to have the best hope of success, your project must align with the Local Investment Plan for the NSW North Coast region so make sure you visit the website and have a read of the eligibility criteria.”

The primary aims of the RJIP is to diversify regional economies, stimulate long term growth, deliver sustainable employment, and enable applicants to enter new markets and sectors.

The Regional Jobs and Investment Package is now open for applications, and is currently available in ten pilot regions, one of which is the NSW North Coast.

Funding will be available across three streams: Local Infrastructure, Business Innovation and Skills and Training.
