Dubbo show a dead-set success
Over the weekend, thousands of locals flocked to the 144th Dubbo Show to enjoy the beautiful weather, rides, market stalls, judging and fresh produce.
Among the crowd of visitors, a band of dedicated members joined Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton at the Nationals’ stand to engage with the community and spruke the Nationals’ hard work and achievements of our Party in the area.
The Nationals’ stand at the Dubbo Show was a hit and this was largely due to the local knowledge or enthusiasm of the branch.
Together the team handed out over 100 show bags for state member Troy Grant and a whopping 300 show bags for Mark Coulton, with region-specific rain charts the most popular take-home item.
The young ones didn’t miss out either with volunteers handing out an additional 300 lolly bags and 400 balloons to keep the kids happy.
Constituents of all political persuasions visited the stall to interact with Troy’s red hot topic board where individuals voted on the issue most important to them. By the end of the weekend, health was the clear frontrunner.
The long awaited Inland Rail, announced in this year’s Federal Budget, was a huge topic of discussion and those interested were delighted to see a large scale, detailed map of the proposed route at the stall.

Having a large Nationals presence was noticed among the wider public with the Shooter & Fishers stand a washout, and no Labor stand in sight. It goes to show The Nationals continue to be the only party dedicated to regional NSW and the development of our communities.
We’d like to thank all the grassroots members who volunteered at the Dubbo Show.
