Dairy industry mooves to increase productivity

Innovation and education are the focus of a recent legen-dairy announcement made at the Norco Dairy Co-op, Raleigh on the mid-north coast. The first round of funding as part of the $1 million Dairy Industry Fund is being rolled out, putting money towards projects that will help boost profitability and productivity of our farmers, and add efficiency to the supply chain.

Growing up on a dairy farm, the Member for Oxley, Melinda Pavey, was proud to be part of this announcement, “The dairy industry is a flagship industry that has enormous potential,” she said.

This first round of funding has two parts. The first, called the Project 2020 Pathways to Change development program, aims to provide education for producers. The second is a Small Dairy Network for NSW Dairy Processors grant, which aims to boost the innovative capacity of small to medium dairy processors.

The NSW Government is ensuring the dairy industry is moo-ving forward, becoming as efficient and productive as possible. Read more here.
