Coffs Harbour to shine in new episode of Sydney Weekender
Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser today announced that the beautiful rainforests, stunning headlands and family-friendly accommodation in Coffs Harbour will feature in a new episode of Sydney Weekender, thanks to a partnership with the NSW Government.
Mr Fraser said the episode, secured by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, will highlight the many things to see and do in the region, inspiring viewers across the State to plan a short break to the Coffs Coast.
“From the coastal headlands and white beaches to cool rainforests and green bushland, Coffs Harbour offers spectacular nature blended with great accommodation and fantastic restaurants and cafes,” Mr Fraser said.
“Coffs Harbour is the perfect place for a family holiday or a romantic getaway and we are delighted that Sydney Weekender will be showcasing the region this Sunday.”
NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the initiative is an important part of the NSW Government’s strategy to help double overnight visitor expenditure to NSW by 2020.
“Securing episodes on popular travel shows such as Sydney Weekender provides us with a wonderful platform to creatively illustrate the array of exciting activities available in NSW which cater for all tastes and interests,” Mr Ayres said.
“Our ongoing partnerships with the tourism industry are a testament to Destination NSW and I encourage everyone to tune into Sydney Weekender this Sunday to discover that NSW is Australia’s most attractive holiday destination.”
The episode will air at 5:30pm on 17 July, 2016 on the Seven Network in Sydney and on the Prime Network across NSW and the ACT and will showcase Coffs Harbour Ambassador Tours, The Coffs Harbour Butterfly House and Korora Bay Village Resort.
