The Central Executive of the NSW Nationals calls for applications for the position of State Director. 

The NSW Nationals are a membership-driven political movement devoted exclusively to representing the interests of Rural and Regional New South Wales.

With a large and active membership, the Party has a proud 98-year history in New South Wales politics. It as a culture of hard-work, transparency and fairness. 

About the role:

The State Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the NSW Nationals.

You will oversee the membership operations, governance of the Party, campaigns for all state and federal elections and the day-to-day operations of our small but motivated Head Office team located in the Sydney CBD.

Managing relationships with our elected parliamentarians, the membership of the Party and other key stakeholders is important to the ongoing success of the organisation.

The role entails extensive travel to regional NSW to manage the various operations of the Party.

A competitive remuneration package is on offer, commensurate with experience.

Your skills and experience:

You will have an intimate knowledge o the political landscape; both federally and in NSW.

A thorough, practical, understanding of modern campaign techniques is essential. Managerial experience within small teams in a high-pressure environment is a must. Qualifications in business, communications or politics is desirable, but will not be considered essential if a candidate has extensive, relevant, experience. 

A background in, or extensive knowledge of, rural and regional NSW would be preferred, as would experience in a membership-based organisation of a similar nature.

You must meet the Party's high standards of character and ethical conduct and you will understand the discrete nature of many of the matters you will deal with on a daily basis.
