Arts Funding For The Glasshouse
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council will deliver arts and cultural programs to the local community in 2017 after receiving NSW Government funding, Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams announced today.
The Glasshouse Regional Gallery will receive $70,000 in Program Funding as part of the Arts and Cultural Development Program (ACDP).
“The funding being provided will help these organisations to deliver innovative arts and cultural programs to the Hastings community throughout 2017,” Mrs Williams said.
“I know many people in our community who appreciate the arts and all of the benefits associated with arts and health so this funding will help artist programs to continue to be presented at the Glasshouse.”
Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts Troy Grant said the ACDP Program funding will support artists and cultural workers while enriching lives of people across NSW.
“The NSW Government is committed to a resilient and vibrant arts and cultural sector and helping artists and organisations create quality experiences for diverse audiences,” Mr Grant said.
Program funding supports the NSW Government’s Create in NSW framework, which guides strategy, investment and partnerships to grow a thriving, globally connected arts and cultural sector.
The Arts and Cultural Development Program is administered by Arts NSW on behalf of the NSW Government. For further information go to www.arts.nsw.gov.au.
