Ag Bag returns for the 2016 Sydney Royal Easter Show

Visitors to the 2016 Sydney Royal Easter Show will once again be given the chance to purchase the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) Foundation’s famed Ag Bags, which will be sold throughout the duration of the show from the 17th – 30th March.

Muesli, rice cakes, fruit and nut bars, biscuits, chocolate milk and sunscreen are some of the products included in the bags.
Packed by RAS Foundation volunteers and filled solely with Australian made products, the Ag Bags will be available at the Woolworths Food Farm for $20.

Importantly, all money raised will go towards the scholarship and grants programs run by the RAS Foundation.
Minister for Regional Development Fiona Nash said the Ag Bags played a big role in promoting Australian agricultural produce to show goers, and noted that the money raised by the RAS Foundation would go straight back into regional and rural communities.

“The RAS Foundation has always been defined by its commitment and passion towards developing rural communities and agriculture,” Minister Nash said.

“The Ag Bags are renowned for showcasing quality agricultural produce and I encourage all visitors at the show to check one out for themselves”.

For this year’s show, the RAS Foundation has 3,500 Ag Bags and hopes to raise $70,000 towards its community grants projects.
