Rumour has it that the weekend's Annual Conference has been the best one yet. Set in the picturesque Hunter Valley not only did the weather sparkle but so did our guests. It was the year of the new, with the introduction of our new NSW parliamentary team, Troy Grant’s first address as State Party Leader, our Chair Bede Burke at the helm (a Conference first) and Nathan Quigley as new State Director addressing Conference for the first time.

The social schedule was bursting at the seams with great local wines and produce at Lindemans Wines' welcome function, a battle of brains (brawn was reserved for the dance floor) at the inaugural Young Nats' Trivia Night and a dazzling finale at Hope Estate in the barrel hall. Special mentions to Niall Blair's killer dance floor moves and a certain Young Nationals' team who took out first place ahead of the aptly named Brains Rust at Trivia.

Debate over motions was rigorous yet efficient. For the first time in years all 63 motions put to the floor were addressed alongside an additional six urgency motions. We would like to thank all those who attended for their thoughtful commentary and passionate delivery of the matters important to regional NSW. In the words of Chairman Bede Burke, "our Party is only as strong as you are."

We now set task to organising the 2016 Conference to be held on the Tweed Coast. Watch this space!
