$40,000 to improve public reserves

Thomas George MP has announced the NSW Government will invest nearly $400,000 to support the development, maintenance and improvement of public reserves across the Lismore electorate.

“As part of the Public Reserves Management Fund – nearly $17 million will be invested right across the state to improve our public reserves,” Mr George said.

“We have 700 reserves, which are looked after by volunteers, who help care for facilities such as public halls, parks and reserves, swimming pools and sportsgrounds and I am proud the NSW Government is supporting these reserves that are often the backbone to our local communities.”

“Right across the electorate public reserves will be given a facelift to ensure they remain at the heart of the community,” Mr George said.

“This funding is so important for the managers of these important assets as it allows improvements to be made that will continue to benefit the community now and into the future.
